This is part of our extensive guide to Pokemon Legends: Z-A
NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.
After finding the two legendaries, L challenges you to a battle outside Hotel Z. Dare you except? Of course you do.

Pokemon Trailer L uses:
Pyroar (weak to Rock, Fighting, Ground, Water)
Florges (weak to Poison, Steel)
Sableye (weak to Fairy)
Garbodor (weak to Ground, Psychic)
Noivern (weak to Fairy, Rock, Dragon, Ice)
Mega Gyrados (weak to Grass, Electric, Fighting, Bug, Fairy)
After that L thanks you for your understand when Zygarde 10% shows up! It then disappears, beckoning you to the tower. Fast travel time!
You'll find it at the bottom of the destroyed tower where it'll challenge you to a battle.
Zygarde is weak to Fairy, Dragon, and Ice so get ready.

The fight starts at 10%
Then at 50%
Then with it's Complete Forme!
Most of the battle just comes with a LOT of green energy dodging, and even with my team in the Lvl 90s, I went through a LOT of Max Potions so be warned. When you're done, you get to use whatever kind of Pokemon you want to catch it. Whee!

L grants you the Zygarde Cube which allows it to change it's form so that weirdos like me can keep it at 10% all the time. Whenever it's health drops BELOW 50%, however, it will automatically change into Complete Forme.

When it's in Complete Forme you can Mega Evolve it, and the Core Enforcer move becomes Nihil Light. L then talks about how it's Nihil Light move reminds him of the Z-Moves used in Alola and oh my god I never made the connection with the whole X, Y, Z stuff. Dangit.
L then questions what he's to do with the 3000 years he must live now that he's suffering from the same weird fate as AZ.
He decides he's going to roam the world until he can figure out how to make it better and wishes you well as he doubts your paths will ever cross again in your life time.

And with that, Mission Complete! Good working with you!
