This is part of our extensive guide to Pokemon Legends: Z-A
NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.
Okay, for this one we're going to head south to the Pokemon Research Labs to talk to Emma about "The One That Gives". The Pokemon L barely remembers but has tasked you with finding.
Once up there talk to Mable and OH MY GOD has the Team Flare been on her chair this whole time and I missed it? It was right there.

When asked, she tells you that there was a pair of Legendary Pokemon from the Kalos Region. "The One That Takes---Yveltal" and "The One That Gives---Xerneas". She then brings up the fact that are some bizarre readings happening in the Wild Zones. Almost as if the areas have "been bathed in Xernea's life energy." Weird coincidence.
In addition, bizarre alphas unlike any alphas ever seen have appeared.
She takes me with catching or defeating the "anomalous alphas" in Wild Zones 3, 5, and 9!
Wild Zone 3

Heading to Wild Zone 3 I can't help but notice a MASSIVE Steelix in the center. I think that might be it gang.
Steelix is weak to Fighting, Ground, Fire, Water
Wild Zone 5

Heading to Wild Zone 5 I find a giant Gallade chilling in the park. Let's go.
Gallade is weak to Fairy, Ghost, Flying
Wild Zone 9

Heading into Wild Zone 9 I find a massive Pangoro on one of the roofs.
Pangoro is weak to Fighting, Fairy, Flying
Now we just need to head back to the research labs. She tells me that with it's pool of near unlimited energy, the only way to stop disaster is to catch it. She also tells me it looks like it's on a path for Wild Zone 11.
Time to fast travel on over to 11. Go to the North side of the area when you enter and you'll find the Investigation point on the shore.

Xerneas shows up like the Forest Spirit in Princess Mononoke and it's time to capture this thing.
Xerneas is weak to Poison and Steel
I managed to capture it in a Wave Ball (for aesthetics) and Mable shows up congratulating me on snagging it.

Mission Complete! Enjoy that new Legendary smell!
