Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link in the Upcoming Legend of Zelda movie is Giving Me Life

I think I speak for the entire gaming community when I say that The Legend of Zelda games are iconic classics that hold a special place in every nerd's heart.

I won't lie, I was nervous as hell when Nintendo first announced a LoZ movie in the making. With adaptations like Netflix's Death Note and Bleach existing, I couldn't help but imagine all sorts of horrors that would befall this beloved franchise. From casting mistakes to plot error and major deviations from the source material, my imagination ran wild and has, since then, been dreading this.

But, wait. There's hope.

Today, Nintendo released three images from the movie, and I can't describe the way excitement bubbles up from my stomach to my throat when I look at them. I won't even describe them to you, just look:

First of all, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is Link in this picture. I see his face, and Ocarina of Time immediately comes to mind. The expression, the hair, the eye color. The color of his tunics. I can't. It just looks too good.

Then, we have the beautiful Bo Bragason as the legendary Princess Zelda. She might not look as ethereal as some of my choices for Zelda would, but she has a sparkle in her eyes that somehow tells me she'll fit the role perfectly fine.

While we wait for more details regarding plot, release date, and more, we can all just... stare at these and imagine how Hyrule will look on the big screen. The movie is being shot in New Zealand, so you know you can expect breathtaking locales for the story.
