It’s a good week for Riot Games followers and fans as the company has dropped not just one but two fun updates and announcements.
This past Monday, March 31st, Riot Games’ first announcement came and highlighted major updates to their upcoming project with trading card game giant UVS Games. Previously known as Project K, the upcoming Riot-UVS baby is now officially titled Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game.
I gotta admit, I thought “Project K” sounded pretty mysterious and made me automatically think of the PROJECT skin series for League of Legends and Wild Rift.

Riot gives updates on trading card game
Along with the name reveal, cards containing original art of some of our most beloved champions like Jinx, ̶D̶a̶d̶d̶y̶ ̶ Viktor, and Lee Sin were also displayed and explained. And they look good.
This TCG will be playable in both 1v1 and 2v2 formats and with a free-for-all mode. Because we all love chaos. Players should keep an eye out for pre-built decks, which will not just facilitate learning but have a set that will cover all of your bases with select champions like Lux, Garen, Master Yi, and more. And, you know, more bang for your buck - you get units, legends, champions, spells, gears, runes, and battlegrounds, and the chance of getting some rare cards. Booster packs with a varierty of rare cards will also be available upon launch.
For those curious about the UniVersus game, there are plenty of how-tos online, so fret not. It’s not hard to learn and, once you get it, it’s pretty entertaining.
You can check out the entire announcement below:
Riftbound is set for release in China this summer, with other countries getting the game anytime from 2025 to 2026.
Following the Riftbound updates, Riot Games released one more fun announcement on April Fool’s Day, after explicitly titling their email as “NO JOKE”. The real MVPs.

Riot says there’s more music coming, you guys
I know. I know. It’s literally like Christmas, isn’t it? Except it’s more a birthday present for me, but you get the point.
We are getting more versions of our beloved songs from the album that will probably be a lot of people’s number 1 on Spotify this year - the original soundtrack of the second and final season of Netflix’s Arcane series. Look at the list above and prepare to wish it was Friday already - but not because of work.
The highly anticipated Arcane S2 soundtrack extended edition is dropping this week.

We’ve been getting little nuggets here and there with Sasha Alex Sloan’s version of “What Have They Done to Us” and the demo version for “Fantastic” being dropped individually, but Coldplay? A Coldplay version of “Ma Meilleure Ennemie”? Because I haven’t cried enough at Riot’s expense, I suppose.
This entirely epic soundtrack can be streamed, downloaded, and utterly obsessed over starting this Friday, April 4th.
Keep an eye out for an upcoming exclusive interview with Arcane executive music producer Alex Seaver.
