Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimensions DLC Guide - "Side Mission 120 - Donuts of Unworldly Deliciousness"

ree

This is part of our extensive guide to Pokemon Legends: Z-A

NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.

Once you have the new Mega Dimensions DLC, you'll receive a notification that you have someone waiting for you on the roof of Hotel Z so head on over there. Once there you'll find the new NPC, Ansha and her mischievous Hoopa.

She's come to Team MZ in need of someone to help her...make donuts.

First things first though, y'all need butter as Taunie used up all of it. So it's off to the baker's stall on Magenta Sector 6.

Of course, upon arrival you're met with the duo of Grisham and...Tarragon?

ree

They need the butter because Tarragon has just gotten into bread making harder than a pandemic era hipster and needs it NOW. So it's battle time.

Grisham uses:

  • Pyroar

  • Tyranitar

  • Mega Charizard X

Tarragon uses:

  • Hippodon

  • Diggersby

  • Mega Excadrill

The battle is different to what you've been used to up to this point because it's a 2-on-2 battle. You've got Taunie on your side so it's fair.

Afterwards you get the butter and head back. You're asked to give up three berries to make a donut. Lida gives you 10 Lida, 10 Oran berries but you should also have a ton if you weren't being weird and selling them.

Just give her any three, watching the stats on the right.

You get one of the cutest cutscenes I've seen from Pokemon in ages and then viola. Donut.

Now, on the screen with the finished donut, there's a lot of things we don't know about yet like "activating Hoopa's powers" and all that. But the two to watch are Level Boost and Donut Energy.

Level Boost is how many levels your Pokemon is temporarily going to go up (even if they're level 100 they'll be 108!).

And Donut Energy is how many calories the donut is. It's like a timer. Once your Pokemon has burnt off those calories, the effects are gone.

With all things said and done, Asha and Hoopa ready to depart. She needs the burst of power from that donut but she needs it at a specific spot, in this case "the banks of the Saison Canal" near the Justice Dojo. Let's meet up with her there. Make sure you're tracking the mission so it shows you exactly where you need to go.

Once there you find Ansha and Hoopa facing a brick wall asking you if you're ready. Before she starts she lets you in on her goal, "to catch a fine Legendary Pokemon for my dear mama". Go off, queen.

Upon looking at the wall, the team notices a small swirling energy portal. Ansha gives Hoopa the donut and Hoopa uses it's powers to create a full on portal. Ansha says that thanks to the power of the donut it makes Hoopa strong enough to be able to travel through distortions.

Unable to trust her on your own you dive right in and...end up in a weird alternative space that looks like a white chunk of the city floating in the void. You need to find Ansha but you need to split up. Luckily the game let's you choose how to pair up (until you read it and find it's the same choice no matter what).

Keep looking around through the alleys until you find some scaffolding with a Mankey chilling on it. The Mankey's squad up on you. Looks like it should be easy...until your first Pokemon faints and you realize they're all level 110. Oh my god.

Afterwards you find Ansha and she's sad to report there's no legendary here and she escorts you back out. With that, Mission Complete! Enjoy your 500 Gold, 5 Lum Berry, 4 Sitrus Berry, and 5 Tamato Berry.
