Pokemon Legends: Z-A Guide "Main Mission 30 - Reaching Rank B"

This is part of our extensive guide to Pokemon Legends: Z-A

NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.

So you just faced off against Lebanne and the gang and found out you need to fight Jacinthe for Rank B. Great.

We're going to head over to Hotel Richissime. Cute. And get ready for what I'm sure definitely won't be a massive series of battles.

Lebanne takes your picture for the tournament so you can get underway.

Once upstair you find out that while you were off doing side missions and all that other stuff, all the other characters like Canari and the rest that are also part of the tournament have been trapped and unable to leave so they're all VERY annoyed at how long you took. Oops.

Especially oops as I knocked out EVERY SINGLE AVAILABLE side mission before coming back here (you're welcome guide readers).

She shows off the tournament bracket which shows who you're going to be facing. And I'm 100% positive I know who I'm going to be facing each round. Let me call it right now to see if I'm right. Canari (obvs), Ivor, Taunie, and then Jacinthe. Ain't no way I can see it differently. Oh, and before you do, make sure you talk to all the NPC's as they sometimes have some cute stuff to say about the match ahead. Or if you just wanna watch Gwynn fawn over Canari.

Speaking of, up first, you'll be going against Canari.

Canari uses:

Helioisk (weak to Fighting, Ground)
Stunfisk (weak to Ground, Ice, Grass, Water)
Ampharos (weak to Ground)
Mega Eelektross (weak to nothing, it's levitate negates it's Ground weakness)

So, after the end of the first round I find out that I'll be up against Ivor as predicted. But oh my god Taunie lost the first round. Girl? So I'll have to change up my guess and now I'm torn because I love Gwynn but I also love Corbeau and while I think, story wise, it would be more interesting to fight a revenge craving Gwynn, Corbeau would make more sense as it would be weird for half this tournament to be fighting Fist of Justice folk. So my money is on Corbeau.

We'll see.

For now, Ivor.

Ivor uses:

Heracross (weak to Psychic, Flying, Fire, Fairy)
Machamp (weak to Psychic, Flying, Fairy)
Medicham (weak to Fairy, Ghost, Flying)
Mega Falinks (weak to Psychic, Flying, Fairy)

Shame Togekiss isn't in this game because that Flying/Fairy would make a meal out of this team.

Afterwards you find out who won the final round and, yep, it's Corbeau. That's going to be your next opponent. My dude.

Corbeau uses:

Arbok (weak to Ground, Psychic)
Roserade (weak to Psychic, Flying, Fire, Ice)
Gyarados (weak to Electric, Rock)
Mega Scolipede (weak to Psychic, Rock, Flying, Fire)

Afterwards, Corbeau admitted he had a good time and invites you to hang out at his office sometime. Again, my dude.

Following that Jacinthe congratulates you for a job well done then reminds you that up next you'll be FINALLY facing off against her.

Jacinthe uses:

Wait...what? Zygarde 10% comes running in out of nowhere to interupt the fight ARE YOU KIDDING.

L follows behind, also somehow able to just wonder in wherever. Asking you to hear out Zygarde who apparently came here to face you. Go off king.

Guess I gotta fight Zygarde first. But first, a lot of Zygarde Cells come into the room and gather. Oh yeah...this thing. Zygarde 10% becomes Zygard 50%.

Zygarde 50% uses:

Itself, duh (weak to Ice, Dragon, Fairy)

My Mega Froslass made VERY short work of it, thankfully using Blizzard and Draining Kiss.

You then beat it and it Naruto dashs out of there, L thanks you and takes his leave.

Okay, NOW I'm going to fight Jacinthe.

Jacinthe (and her amazing electro/swing battle music) uses:

Carbink (weak to Ground, Grass, Water, Steel)
Mawile (weak to Fire, Ground)
Gardevoir (weak to Poison, Ghost, Steel)
Aurorus (weak to Rock, Fighting, Ground, Grass, Water, Steel)
Mega Clefable (weak to Ice, Electric, Poison)

Oh my god, they gave Clefable a Mega. Oh! And it's Flying/Fairy! Where was this in my Corbeau fight?

Upon winning you get to move up to Rank B! Congrats!

Jacinthe thanks you for your participation into the tournament she forced you into and gifts you the TM Play Rough.

She then concludes with the mandatory fist bump this game seems to love. Mission Complete!
