Pokemon Legends: Z-A Guide: "Main Mission 18 - A Rogue Mega Banette"

NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.

For this one you're going to head to the East of the map where the picture of the Banette is and meet with Naveem whom you'll find in a small alley looking for Banette while being unaware that Banette is pranking him by hiding behind him.

You now have the option to battle it so get yourself ready with Ghost and Dark attacks of your own cause this dude's wild.

The fight is remarkably annoying, and not just for the insane distorted music. Banette constantly creates duplicates of itself with only the real one being able to be damaged. Before each attack make sure you're hitting the one with glowing energy. One that does NOT have a small health meter over it.

Also be on the look out for constant confuse rays as, I'll admit, I ran my Pokemon into a TON of them.

Once you've beaten it, however, you'll get a Banettite and Naveem will...wait...you'll also get a visit from L who will tell you that Zygarde cannot Mega Evolve.

I'm assuming because he's perfect already, look at that good boy.

L then states that the detective Emma, is hunting him and must leave.

Mission Complete!
