Pokemon Legends: Z-A Guide "Main Mission 14 - Reaching Rank E"

You're back at the hotel when suddenly your phone tells you that you've received a message from the Z-A Royale App. Your opponent is DYN4MO's Canari. You're finally going to meet the streamer that people keep talking about.

Naveen is shook.

Lida says that if I beat Naveen in a battle he has to give me all the details on how to find Canari. If he wins he doesn't have to because he desperately wants to protect the streamer he's a huge fan of.

So, head out to the courtyard and fight Naveem. Ariados, Sableye, and Scraggy. Ariados is weak to Psychic, Rock, Flying, and Fire. Sableye is weak to Fairy. And Scraggy is weak to Fighting, Fairy, and Flying.

He talks about how the local fans of Canari's take part in the "Canari Quiz Whiz Contest" because Nintendo and Game Freak do not pay attention to what streaming is. The winner gets to ask Canari for a favor.

He then tells you to get your Challenger's Ticket and come back so go do that. I'll wait.

Okay, meet up with Naveen again. He says you both need to go to the electrical substation in the Magenta District because that's where the quiz is held. That's...safe.

Head on over to the marked area in the Northwest of the map and look for Naveem. He gives you the password. If you forget, it's "Let's Go DYN4MO".

Immediately you're met with a bunch of the fandom and a character who just kinda hangs to the side with a Chadelure hat that I desperately want to know.

A hologram of Canari shows up on stage before you can talk to anyone and gets the show underway. I'm going to die if Canari is secretly just the old guy who runs the Construction.

Canari starts the quiz show and it's answered like a Fall Guys mini-game where you have to run and stand on the platforms that represent the answers to her questions.

Round One:

Question 01) She's good at block puzzle games? True or False? Answer) True

Question 02) Macarons are her favorite food. True or False?

Answer) False

Question 03) Electric-Type Pokemon are her fave. True or False?

Answer) True

Round Two:

For this round she'll want you to get the thing she asks for and to bring it to her.

01) Her Eelektross has a favorite dessert. Find it and bring it back.

Naveem will tell you you need to head to Café Gallant and get a Lumoise Galette in Magenta Sector 1. Once getting there, you'll find one of her fans buying one. Before you can buy one Naveem interjects and points out you should get a Super Lumiose Galette.

Final Round:

For the final round you have to battle the super fan before being asked a final question.

So first you have to fight Mani of DYN4MO. He sends out Helioptile, Emolga, and Raichu.

She then asks the final question. "When I was a kid, I played my first games on a laptop. Who owned that laptop?"

The answers are: 1) Me, 2) My dad, 3) My mom, 4) My grandpa

The correct answer is 4, her grandpa.

Upon winning you tell her you want a Promotion Rank Match, she questions it but agrees and tells you to meet her at Racine Construction. Oh my god, please secretly be the little old man.

Head on over to Racine Construction and chat up Tarragon, the little old man that runs the place. He says he was watching and then challenges you to a battle. Battle him.

Tarragon of DYN4MO throws out a Hippowdon, Diggersby, and Excadrill. He Mega Evolves the Excadrill. All of these are really weak to Water and Grass so go grow a garden on them.

Tarragon explains that he's Canari's grandpa and is happy he got to battle you. He then says, as a reward, he'll tell you a secret about Canari. OH! Come on come on come on.

I CALLED IT!!!

Yup, he's a VTuber!

Though, he does tell you he does have a granddaughter and Canari is real, but she focuses on the gaming aspects and hates public interaction so he handles the public appearances which...WILD.

So now I have to fight the REAL Canari who's in the backroom of the garage.

Now you have to battle Canari. First she throws out Heliolisk, Stunfisk, Ampharos, then Eelektross, whom she immediately Mega Evolves.

Most of these are easily dunked on by Ground type moves but Mega Eelektross...oof. Mega Eelektross was the first time in the game I thought I was gonna lose. Was NOT ready. Make sure you're healing when you get the chance to use an item.

With that win you move up to Rank E and Canari goes on a swearing fit. But after she calms down she apologizes and give your TM066 Volt Switch which causes the user to quickly dash, hit the enemy, and come right back to the trainer.

She then hands you an autographed plush to "give to the person who helped you out".
