Hi there! I'm going to assume you came here from the main walk-through guide, so welcome!
NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.
So, after going to bed at the end of the second mission, you wake up ready to head downstairs and meet up with Taunie.
Head on downstairs to the lobby where Taunie and the Flourette are chilling. Taunie explains the whole Z-A Royale thing and has you put the app on your phone. The app immediately lets you know that everyone starts off at Rank Z and slowly makes there was to Rank A where they can get "any wish they're capable of granting."
She then gives you a special Team MZ jacket and tells you that you look great...despite the fact your avatar is wearing shoes with no socks like a creep. She then uploads a picture of you to your Z-A profile so you can bask in all your Rank Z glory.

You're then introduced to another Team MZ member, Lida, who comes down to the lobby to complain about the noise y'all are making but then gets excited to find out there's another new member.
It's cut short as Taunie reminds you you need more training so she takes you outside. Follow her out to the courtyard and she battles you.

The first Pokemon she throws at you is the one of the two starters you DIDN'T pick that you're strong against. In my case, as I picked Totodile, she sent out Tepig. I beat it and, unlike other intro fights, she busts out a second Pokemon! The OTHER one I didn't pick, the one I'm weak against, Chikorita!
Luckily, it did absolutely zero grass type moves and I still whooped it softly and sent it to bed.
She then tells you it's time to learn how to capture Pokemon. But first she takes you to the Pokemon Center. By the way, if you buy Pokeballs while you're there do NOT use a Premier Ball as your first throw, your first row will miss. Remember that.
Anywho, she then takes you into one of the Wild Zones. You'll find a Fletchling and will be told it's an easy catch. This is where I'm telling you your first throw will fail so if you want it in a Premier Ball, wait till your second throw. After that, you'll see a Bunnelby which will be more hostile. You'll have to attack it first before catching it. Luckily there's a new mechanic where if you take out all its health, it'll stand there for a while dazed before disappearing.
After that, you'll be told to get two more to get to five different Pokemon. Luckily there's a Scatterbug and a Mareep near by. Gather those and leave the zone where the infamous "Power of Science" guy that chills at the beginning of every Pokemon game is hanging out just loving life in front of the Pokemon Research Labs. Head on in.
Go up to the third floor of the lab and, real quick, go ahead and look at the two pictures near the elevator for a nice little easter egg to give you an idea of when the game takes place.

Then talk to the acting director, Mable. She tells you that she needs help with the Pokedex App research because, for some reason, wild Pokemon have been showing up around the city like crazy and she needs to get to the bottom of it. And, luckily, you, arrant child, are there to work for free.
She then shows you you're already at rank 2 on the Pokedex app and awards you a prize, the TM Rock Smash! Perfect for all those weird, inexplicable rocks that seem to just be laying around and blocking roads.
Head on out of the lab where you'll meet Naveen who is, according to him, Team MZ's fashion design, which I doubt because he gives you a Trilby like only a creep would wear. But before you can even mutter your first "m'lady" he leaves and you have to return to the hotel.
Use Rock Smash on a couple near by stones and head back to the hotel. Mission accomplished!

If you're all done, feel free to head back to the main walk-through!
