I will keep this spoiler-free, but I hereby declare that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is absolute cinema, as the kids say these days.
Much unlike its predecessor, Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training, Infinity Castle skips through scenes we watched in the anime series and gets right into brand new action and tension from the get-go. The story picks up exactly where the anime's 63rd episode leaves off and wastes no time tearing our hearts to pieces and making us clutch our blankets (or hoodies; it's cold in theaters) tightly.

What impressed me the most, by far, is the animation itself. Some moments felt like they were specifically crafted for the big screen, with animation effects that successfully dazzle and enchant the viewer. The attention to the smallest details in scenes and the incredible scenery really help keep the audience engaged and invested in what's unfolding before their eyes, which was quite a lot, considering this movie.
The character development served to the audience in this movie is top-tier. Some incredibly sad and heartbreaking moments really stick with viewers, with other moments leaving us all covered in goosebumps and inspired. Though the movie focuses on a handful of characters, there is plenty of involvement on everyone's part to keep things interesting and new.
I mentioned it once or twice already, but there are some seriously heartbreaking moments in this movie, so be sure to have tissues at the ready when witnessing this masterpiece play itself out. Along with the animation and the intense, emotional parts, the movie's soundtrack is on point. It perfectly accentuates important parts while going completely silent in nerve-racking ones.

The voice acting is exceptional, as expected; the Demon Slayer cast blows it out of the park and brings back our favorite characters in the franchise. For the record, I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles. The intensity is felt throughout the movie as it is pretty serious compared to To The Hashira Training. There are more heartfelt, heart-tugging, and heart-stopping moments than funny or light-hearted ones in Infinity Castle compared to To The Hashira Training, for sure.
The only downside to Infinity Castle is how it only makes the wait for what's next even harder, with Infinity Castle Part II probably being set for a 2027 release, according to ScreenRant.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is an incredible combination of industry-leading animation and a heart-wrenching story. As epic as the Mugen Train arc. Yes, it's that goddamn good. It gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars and a standing ovation. I need more.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle releases in theaters everywhere tomorrow, September 12th.
