The second and last season of Netflix's original series, Arcane, aired well over two months ago but I still find myself listening to its incredible soundtrack.
The diversity in the music genres, the different languages, the deep and somber messages and meanings behind the lyrics - everything about this album keeps me coming back it daily, especially while I work. Plus, they are SO ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶a̶p̶e̶u̶t̶i̶c̶ ̶ ̶much fun to sing along to.
Some of my favorite tracks are the obvious ones - "The Line" by Twenty One Pilots, "Wasteland" by Royal & The Serpent, "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" by Stromae and Pomme, and both "Remember Me" versions by d4vd. Their lyrics combined with the moment in which they played during the episodes make for some painfully relatable memories that resurface every time you listen to those songs. In other others, we have emotional damage.
I do bring new of more emotional damage to come with this article today - we have a been blessed with a new edit of "What Have They Done To Us". The original song by artists Mako and Grey is already a hauntingly beautiful piece, and this new edit featuring singer Sasha Alex Sloan is... make sure you've got tissues before you click "play" below:
Damn. What an edit.
You can stream it on a multitude of platforms and it will be included in the deluxe extended soundtrack, which will also be available in the Spring. All the links and info can all be found right here.
Never thought I'd cry to that song again in a different version.
All episodes of Arcane are now streaming on Netflix.
