After last week's rave party and unfortunate goodbye to Mon Mothma's childhood bestie and ex-lover, Andor is back with even more suspense and tense moments that will trigger your I just can't watch reflexes.
Needless to say, there will be spoilers for Andor season 2 episodes 4-6 below. You've been warned,
This week, we were gifted three more action-packed and mildly emotionally damaging episodes. Things have heated up on Ghorman, as was always the plan, and now everyone's eyes - both Imperial and Rebel - are on it. There are multiple playing fields, and the stakes just continue to be higher as the Rebellion becomes more and more organized.
Luthen's always known he would lose his humanity to the Rebellion. He talked about it in Season 1. But it showed off so intensely in this arc, where he truly had a hard time understanding why people were worried about their loved ones or why they would put them above the mission. Meanwhile, on the other hand, is Saw Guerra, who has fully lost his humanity and has embraced insanity. We knew from Rogue One that the Rebellion didn't approve of his methods and had disowned him, but this week we learned why. Between changing deals, kidnapping people he wanted on his crew, and a bad habit of huffing spaceship fuel, he is a mirror of who Luthen could be if he stays on this path. And I worry about what he will look like next week as we time jump another year.
I ended up writing my live blogs for each episode as notes, and honestly, in honor of our recap last week, I have decided to minimally edit and post them. Enjoy, but spoilers are coming.

Andor season 2 episode 4, "Ever Been to Ghorman?"
Welcome to BBY 3 - it's time for things to get a lot worse
Bix's nightmares are of the Doctor who tortured her in Season 1, and are clearly a manifestation of her guilt over what she and Cassian are doing for the rebellion.
Syril took a promotion to get on Ghorman, and his mother is upset that he is both off-world and broke up with Dedra to go. But his uncharacteristic ignoring of Imperial protests is suspicious.
"Don't become too much of an individual, Syril." I hate this woman so much.
Ghorman rebels are spying on Syril, and they want his help.
Cassian and Bix are currently living on Coruscant. He's paranoid about being perceived.
Syril is getting invited to a secret, special meeting by a spider seller
Bix and Cassian's should-be-cute domestic life is giving them too much time to think, especially about a man Cassian killed to protect the two of them. They keep fighting over it, and what their being at war means.
Syril is Dedra's man on Ghorman and was tasked with infiltrating the rebels
Dedra is still pretending to be demoted. She still wants nothing more than to catch Cassian, and the person who took her old job does not want her help
Mon is girlbossing her way through the senate, trying to help Ghorman. It's not going well.
Luthen's guy in the ISB lets him know Dedra's been secretly running Ghorman. He has no idea why or what her endgame is. Luthen's not happy about this lack of information.
The secret meeting Syril is invited to is a Ghorman town hall where people are passionately talking about the problems they've faced over the past year because of the Empire. It's spoken entirely in Ghor, so Syril doesn't understand much.
The Ghorman Massacre is now canon! (CALLED IT!) One of the things the Ghormans are most upset about is that the Empire's new armory will cast a shadow over the memorial to those who were killed.
The Ghormans are joking about Syril being an Imperial spy. THE GRIMACE I JUST MADE
Luthen is sending Cassian to Ghorman to check out the Ghorman Front, and Bix is not invited. Cassian is not thrilled about leaving her alone.
Time to check in with Wil, who is teaching Saw Guerra's crew how to steal fuel. He was only supposed to teach one variation, but Saw decides Wil will be staying with them until he teaches them all eight.
Cassian and Bix share a sweet dance in their living room before he goes out on the mission.
Bix is self-medicating with some kind of substance, and the moment Cassian is gone and her mask falls, it's clear she's doing worse than he thinks.

Andor season 2 episode 5 - "I Have Friends Everywhere"
No music over the title screen, but instead radio static and various conversations. I love this feeling of us tapping into everyone's wires. Honestly, shout out to Kleya for needing to listen to it all the time.
I love this way of Cassian getting a dossier of his alias. I also find it hilarious that he's going undercover as a fashion designer.
Syril is "coming home to visit" his mom, only to be interrupted by ISB doing a random inspection. Syril's dramatics are hilarious since he definitely was in on it.
Sculdun (aka Mon's daughter's father-in-law) found a forgery in his collection, and now all his artifacts are suspect. Which is not good when there's a listening device in one of them from Luthen's shop.
The Ghorman Front has discovered Syril's backstory, and they think the ISB is running a shadow government that the Empire doesn't know about. (I can't tell if they want to stay loyal to the Empire, or if they're playing Syril)
Luthen came to check on Bix and promised to move her somewhere she likes more. He discovers her drugs, and he tells her to be careful with them.
Wil is trying to teach Saw's man the variations. It's not going well.
Syril slips the Ghorman Front the information they were looking for.
The person Kleya overheard Sculdun ranting to lets it slip that it's after his party that everything will be reappraised - aka they need to get to that party to get their bug out.
Welcome to Ghorman Cassian, you....I mean, Varian Skye, sure looks sexy.
The Ghorman Massacre details are so heartbreaking.
Syril and Dedra have an hour together. She had him followed, but I'm pretty sure he thinks that's hot.
Cassian and Enza have an intense conversation about how she rushed into their conversation too fast - and that she's lucky he was, in fact, who she was looking for instead of someone else. But it ends with a meeting, and more advice about how the people following Cassian are drawing attention.
Syril gifted his mother one of the Ghorman dried spiders. She names it Syril because, of course, she does.
Good Morning Coruscant looks like it's hosted by Effie Trinket.
Rylanx and Cassian have a conversation about how they are only talking because they have an inside source: Syril. They want to catch the Empire in their lie and need him to steal an Imperial transport to do it.
Syril and Dedra want the Ghorman Front to win this one, so they'll know what winning feels like and get bolder.
Saw is planning on killing Wil, but the engineer wants to recruit him instead.
Cassian's doing some recon
Luthen and Kleya are fighting about the bug, but one thing is certain: they need to get it out at the party.
Saw ends up killing his engineer, for "being a traitor," and takes Wil with him. But I'm willing to bet he planted that microphone.
Cassian does not have high hopes for the Ghorman Front's heist plans. Rylanx doesn't think Cassian is enough of a revolutionary and isn't impressed with the Rebellion.
Wil is working the machine while Saw is monologuing. Wil is getting high off the rhydo fumes like Saw does - he's joining Saw's crew. Pretty sure Wil's gonna die roasting himself from the inside out, and Saw's condition in Rogue One makes so much more sense.

Andor season 2, episode 6 - "What a Festive Evening"
James Bond-esque music over the title of this one. Let's do heists, parties, and espionage.
Luthen is willing for Ghorman to fall if it means bringing more people to the cause, but Cassian doesn't want to be involved.
Vel has been sent to Ghorman. She's definitely one to make it go boom. .
"I was very, very, pretty." YES, YOU WERE SIR.
Between the Ghorman conversation and finding out Luthen visited Bix, Cassian is definitely having some doubts.
Perrin is having a hard time balancing the social season, because 80 new senators are all holding Investiture Banquets at the same time. But honestly, dude, you should feel lucky to be on Mon's arm when she's serving LOOKS.
"Bix has to pull it together. Or you have to decide at what point it becomes too large a problem. Unless that's what you're doing right now." I hate when Luthen has good points, but if he breaks them up, I'm going to be mad
ISB bossman is now going to share Dr. Ghorst with Military Intelligence and turn him into a program. That's a Very Bad Sign.
Cinta is joining Vel on Ghorman - Y I K E S. They're told if they don't like the heist they can walk.
Apparently, Vel and Cinta are still a thing. They only did the assignment to work together. Cinta's coming off an accident and has to rest up for the year. Which makes me feel like she crashed Tay's vehicle on purpose and barely survived it.
Syril doesn't know what's going on with Ghorman, and Dedra is told he can never fully know. Also, good thing Cassian nope'd out because Syril would have FREAKED OUT if he were there.
Cinta and Vel are once again proving they're heist Queens. The Ghorman people don't know how to follow orders, and I'm pretty sure they're going to mess it up because they don't want to follow the chain of command.
A lot of people are having issues with Luthen, it seems. I think Luthen is also having issues with Luthen TBH.
Mon is refusing to take the oath of the Empire at the start of the new legislative season, as she should. This poor woman's truly going through it.
Mon serving another LOOK. Seriously, she's starting to beat Padme as the Star Wars character I want to steal the closet of.
Bail Organa (now played by Benjamin Bratt) MY LOVE. Honestly, seamless casting change transition.
Paparazzi droids. Gross.
Syril is reporting how the heist is going to ISB, Cinta and Vel are ready to go.
ISB leadership (and the mole) are also at this party. Everything's going down here and on Ghorman.
Mon asks Luthen to make Vel check in with her because she cares. My dude, how many different people have to tell you they're worried about their loved ones before you realize you have to let people have loved ones?
Kleya is recruiting Mr. ISB Mole to help get the bug back.
KRENNIC IS THERE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. SIRENS NEED TO GO OFF.
"How pleasant to see you free of the witness stand." Mon knows how to give the most epic of burns. Krennic deserves it.
Proud of the Ghormans, they're actually doing a fantastic job of pulling off this heist. Too bad ISB is getting a recording of the whole thing from Syril.
Spoke too soon about the Ghormans. One disappeared, and another brought a blaster and accidentally killed Cinta. And look at it, it's the two who were upset about following orders.
Mr. Brought a Blaster is crying and Vel is GOING OFF on him. To be honest, it's valid because if he had just listened to her, it wouldn't have happened.
Bix surprises Dr. Ghorst and tortures him to death with his machine. Cassian then blew up the building. I'm not sure if they were assigned this mission or went rogue, but good.
Tune in next week for more Andor heartbreak - new episodes streaming Tuesdays at 9pm ET on Disney+.
