5 Mobile Games I'm Stunned Aren't HUGE

You ever have some game on your phone forever that's become sort of your ride or die game that, whenever you get tired of a new game you always kinda come back to and find it's still fun if not better after updates? Have you ever thought to yourself, "how in the hell isn't this on every phone?"
Here's a couple that got me like that.
Five Mobile Games All Phones Should Have:
5) CatJump
If there's one type of game I absolutely hate playing on my phone, it's platformers. I hate them so so much. And I think people that are willing to connect a controller to play games on their phone are insane and I'm sorry.
That being said, one game that has been on my phone for a few years now is CatJump.
Sure, on the surface, it's just a game where all you do is tap to get your cat from one side of the screen to the other. But then you realize it's actually a really trick physics puzzle that has you timing the various jumps to dodge obstacles all while racing other people in real time.
That's not even touching the surface of this game as you encounter timed events that add completely different modes of game play and what feels like an infinite amount of hidden characters and levels to this game that constantly get added to. KPop Demon Hunters become big? Well now there's KPop Demon cats in the game. Deal with it.
The updating has been constant for years and I think, in my life, I spent about maybe $5 on it.
04) PokeTCG Sim - Open Card Packs!
Listen, this app is only going to appeal to a very specific crowd, but if you're in the crowd this is going to make you lose your fucking mind.
PokeTCG Sim has taken every Pokemon card in history, recreated the bags they came in, recreated the pull rate accurately, and you can just sit around opening any card pack you want slowly pilling up virtual catalogues.
Sure, the game is flawed and the cards are useless, but if you pay a little bit for pro, there's nothing like just kinda sitting back when you need a three minute fidget and encountering a rare that you didn't even realize was a rare until it shows you the average going price online and you're like "for a Gengar?"
If your whole point to playing Pokemon TCG Pocket is the packet opening, this is all that and then some.
03) SpinCraft
Here's what drives me nuts. Balatro, huge game right? The creator said it was inspired by his obsession playing Luck Be a Landlord and suddenly that old game gets huge. But listen to me, if you played Luck Be a Landlord TRY THIS.
SpinCraft is the exact same type of game Luck Be a Landlord is except so much more. Thousands of combinations and unlockables, many with their own independent animations and sounds. The graphics are clear and smooth, the sound is satisfying, and over time you can unlock entirely new slot machines so if the basic one gets old, you can suddenly flit over to one where you're leveling up a fantasy adventurer and fighting creatures, or even later, a machine that allows you to use a slot machine to organize your crime family.
It's insane and wonderful and it has that wonderful feeling of synergy when you get a really good combo that keeps getting stronger.
02) mo.co
Take a minute. I'm going to have you visualize two things.
Imagine a world where the Diablo Mobile game was fun and easy to use as well as to team up in.
Then, imagine a world where Supercell games broke outside of their tired fantasy idle shlock and did something fun with their budget.
This is that.
Supercell games has given us a Diablo-like loot frenzy that has somehow mixed fantasy settings with urban aesthetics to give us a satisfying game where the fun comes not just from the short but sweet missions, but seeing random people on the map with their own missions and intersecting with them so you both get the job done. I've never spend a dime on it and I'm still very much enjoying it.
01) Backpack Brawl
Listen to me. There is no screenshot or video that will sell this as much as I'm going to do it right here in these words.
This game is INCREDIBLE.
This game has you fitting items in your backpack. Over time allowing you a bigger backpack. Sure, you've done that before. But Backpack Brawl, not only has great sound design, great art, and a fantastic UI, it has (at the time of this writing) 11 characters, all which require different strategies.
If you're tired of using the Dwarvish miner Dorf, who's backpack design involves you finding ways to strengthen your tools and dig up ores and gems which can be used for better equipment, maybe give Celeste a go, who's entire thing is about causing an electrical flow charge up her various weapons to cause secondary effects.
You could be Morrow the creepy fisherman and fish for a variety of aquatic horrors that will fight for you, or use Buzz to cultivate a variety of insect companions.
Each player plays wonderfully different, and each battle is exciting as you're going against another players build. I've been incredibly confident in the set up I've had only to be completely smashed by a player using a character I've never touched using a set up I've never seen.
And the fact that they constantly add to it and balance things as they do so is HUGE. Now, if only they'd finally listen to me and add a chef character to utilize the ridiculous amount of food items the game has.
