You can't trust everything you see on the internet, and this is the approach I am taking when it comes to a post I stumbled upon while doomscrolling on Facebook.
Fancastings are a widespread thing; folks are always projecting who they think should play iconic and specific characters from books, video games, and animated projects in a live-action setting. From favored actors to complete unknowns, there are some really fun and wild fancastings out there. But, it kind of makes my eyebrow arch up when I see pages dedicated to fandoms I love stating that there is possible live-action news coming out way soon.
This is the post in question:

First of all, hell yes to a live-action Asajj Ventress. Ventress is a strong and influential character in the Star Wars lore, introduced to non-extended universe fans through the incredible animated show Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008. She's the kind of layered character that needs her own show or movie, needs to be explored and showcased widely.
Secondly, no. I have nothing against Anya Taylor-Joy at all - I think she's heckin' great. But nothing about her screams Asajj Ventress to me, and, with Asajj being my favorite Star Wars character, this little would-be news decided to occupy some brain space today.
Let's take a look at three options that do scream Asajj Ventress.

1) Elizabeth Debicki
Elizabeth Debicki has not just the vibes, but the talent and physical presence that would embody Asajj beautifully. She's tall, standing at 6'2", and her build is very similar to Asajj's as well. As for her acting range, which is needed when you play someone as complex as a character with the good-guy-gone-bad-gone-good-again character arc, her roles in The Crown, The Night Manager, and Tenet show how she can handle going from vulnerable to being a complete menace without missing a beat.

2) Vera Farmiga
Vera Farmiga is well-known for starring in scary, unsettling horror and criminal movies. Her strong and dominating presence and acting in Down to the Bone, a 2004 independent film, not only earned her the Sundance Best Actress Award but also demonstrated the kind of talent she'd bring to a character as deep and full of emotions as Asajj Ventress. She's not as tall as Elizabeth Debicki, standing at 5'7", but she still has a good stature and build for Asajj as well.

3) Eva Green
Eva Green is my third pick, and she may be my favorite one. Eva is no stranger to the action genre, nor to playing characters who require that extra oomph when it comes to being morally ambiguous and gracefully complex, as we've seen in Penny Dreadful. She also has facial features that make her a great match when it comes to Asajj's looks and build.
As we curiously await any news of live-action Asajj Ventress shows, movies, and/or casting, now is the perfect time to go over your picks for this incredibly dense and often fan-favorite Star Wars character. We can only hope to hear something soon, and something good.
