Pokemon Legends: Z-A "Main Mission 09 - Chase that Mysterious Pokemon"

This is part of our main Pokemon Legends: Z-A guide!

You receive a call from the detective Emma that the four-legged black Pokemon she's been on the look out is near my location! Stepping out the door of the hotel while on the phone you find it right there. And while, in a previous guide, I speculated it was Umbreon because of Emma's hair clip it's actually my personal favorite Pokemon of all time, 10% Zygarde!

Just look at it. Perfection.

Emma tells you that you need to keep an eye on it till she gets there but it runs off leading to you chasing after it. As you chase it don't worry about it getting away. If you lose sight of it just look around carefully, it won't get too far away from you without stopping. It's leading you somewhere.

Eventually the Zygarde stops and looks up towards the top of a building before somehow grabbing you and jumping ot the roof where you find an Absol surrounded by glowing energy and clearly hurting. The Zygarde bounces as Emma arrives.

She explains that there have been cases of something called "Rogue Mega Evolutions" going around in which Pokemon without trainers have randomly been painfully going through Mega Evolutions.

AZ then shows up and mentions the only way to fight it is with a Mega Evolved Pokemon of your own so he sends Lucario to the roof with a Mega Bracelet for ya.

As if on cue, the Absol has its Rouge Mega Evolution becoming...

You learn that the way these fights work is that as you hit it with powerful moves it breaks Mega Stones off of it which you then collect to fill a meter. When that meter fills you can click R3 to cause your Pokemon to Mega Evolve.

This fight's a trick one as Mega Absol is going to spend a lot of time bypassing your Pokemon and coming straight for you so you want to stay far, but you also want to collect the Mega Stones that break off so you also need to be close. Finding a balance and mastering spamming the dodge button is really important.

Once you're able to defeat it you meet up with the crew down on the ground and they explain that they're going to need help stopping Pokemon that have Rogue Mega Evolved within the city and also to find the reason for this.

The conversation gets cut short when the Absol you saved shows up to thank you by becoming one of your Pokemon. Don't forget to have it hold the Absolite you earned from beating this fight.

Anyways, with all this excitement, the crew suggests you go back to the hotel. Mission complete!
