Pokemon Legends: Z-A Guide "Side Mission 118 - Goodbye, Gengar"

NOTE: Please make sure to read AFTER Mission Complete for a bonus scene.
For this next mission we're going to head to this spot just east of Café Soleil. We're looking for the Old Building from earlier where we dealt with the Gengar and found that weird painting of Professor Laventon from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Gänger, the guy you helped, says he hasn't seen Gengar in a while and wants help finding the big guy. I'm sure that with this mission title it's definitely going to go well for everyone.
He then asks if you can recruite help from Gwynn from the Fist of Justice. So let's fast travel to the Justice Dojo where Gwynn states she'll help if you battle her first.
Gwynn of the Fist of Justice uses:
Banette (weak to Ghost, Dark)
Gourgeist (weak to Dark, Flying, Ghost, Fire, Ice)
Gengar (weak to Dark, Ghost, Psychic)
Froslass (weak to Dark, Ghost, Rock, Fire, Steel)
Mega Chandelure (weak to Water, Ground, Rock, Steel, Dark)
Afterwards she agrees to help saying her Chandelure should have no problem finding it and believes they found it at Hotel Richissime so let's fast travel on over. You'll find them outside.
The sense a prescene haunting the sign and, upon investigating, it's a Gourgeist.
Now Chandelure is leading us to a secluded waterway. So we're going to head to the water way in Vert Sector 9 almost directly on the words "Vert Sector 9".
When you find them, Chandelure investigates again aaaaand it's a Shuppet. I feel like I'm trapped in a filler episode of an anime.
Chandelure tries again. This time it's the Galerie de la Lune. That's the round shopping center to the north of the tower.
Okay Chandelure, do your thing. Hey, there's the Gengar. Oh, it's A Gengar...not THE Gengar. Dang.
Chandelure I swear to god...Gänger says maybe it's time to call off the search. He realizes he should have asked Gengar to be his partner and realizes it may be too late to have formed that bond.
He then...just walks off and...yeeeeeeeeeeesh.
Mission...um...Complete? Enjoy that 4000 Gold, 2 Exp. Candy L, and 1 Exp Candy XL
If you wanna feel better though, head back to the Old Building and check on Gänger after the mission is over.
Once there you find out that Gengar returned! Thank god.
He tells you that he's going to spend more time appreciating those around him while they're around. Yay.
