Pokemon Legends: Z-A Guide "Main Mission 06 - Reaching Rank X"

NOTE: I went with a male presenting character so my character's bestie will be Taunie. If you went with one of the more female presenting ones you'll be friends with Urbain instead.

Shortly after finishing Main Mission 05, you get a notification that your rival for Rank X has been found, a business woman named Yvon.

Before you can face her, however, you must wait till nightfall and battle enough trainers to earn you points. So go ahead and do some side missions around town until it's night and then go to the Battle Zone location which, luckily, you can fast travel to using your map.

Once you have enough points, remember you can't earn more until you beat your rival, head to this location to challenge Yvon.

Yvon is a no nonsense, business woman that wants to rise to Rank A so she can...apparently...hold a marathon? You'd think with the crazy amount of joggers in the city that was already a thing but go off. Anyways, she reminds you that she's a very busy adult while standing so close I thought she was going to kiss me.

The fight with her was actually pretty close, telling me I need to start leveling up my Pokemon more often. She comes out swinging with a Spitzee, a Swirlix, and then, finally, a Vivillon. They're all gonna be weak to Poison and Steel type attacks so, if you got some of those you're in luck.

After you defeat her she runs off while you become Rank X.
